A wood-fired
neighborhood kitchen.

Seasonal American small plates. Snake River wines. Open hearth. Quiet rooms. The kind of place you go on a Tuesday when you want to feel like you're somewhere worth being.

The idea:
good food, every Tuesday.

Olive + Stone opened on Pierpont in 2022 with a simple goal — to be the restaurant we wished existed in our neighborhood. Wood-fired, ingredient-led, and welcoming on a weeknight, not just an anniversary.

We work directly with farms in Cache Valley and the Wasatch front. We change the menu when something better comes in. We don't take substitutions, but we'll always make something for the table that works for everyone.

Case Study · Liston Web Studio

Designing for a restaurant that wins reservations on the menu, not the marketing.

Restaurants get this wrong all the time — bury the menu behind a hero reel, make you click through three slow-loading pages to find tonight's hours, treat reservations as an afterthought. We did the opposite. The menu, the hours, and the booking link sit at the top of every screen. The "story" earns its place lower down.

Playfair Display in italic sets a confident editorial tone — the restaurant equivalent of an unhurried server who knows the menu cold. The cream + ink + burnt sienna palette evokes a wood-fired room without being thematic. Heavy use of monospace for utility text keeps the editorial feel from becoming precious.

Decision 01

Menu before mood

Real menu items with prices appear in the second scroll. Diners decide on food, then look for vibe.

Decision 02

Reserve, always pinned

Sticky reservation bar after the hero. Top right of nav. Bottom CTA. Three guaranteed touchpoints.

Decision 03

The owners, signed

Closing the story with a handwritten-feel signature reinforces "real people, neighborhood spot."
